Welcome

My name is Alain, and I want to welcome you to Support My Bike Ride (dot) com.

The purpose of this site is to support my fundraising efforts, towards what I consider to be very important causes.

I do hope that you’ll please take the time to review some of the pages on this website, and consider making a pledge of support to the organizers of the next long distance cycling event I am now raising funds for, and plan on participating in.

The event I’m currently raising funds for is the “Sam’s Club MS150“, which is scheduled to take place on the week-end of May 3rd, and 4th, 2008.  All funds generated are applied towards Multiple Sclerosis victim support and important research programs. Your financial support of this event means a great deal to those who live with the devastating effects of this disease.

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a chronic, often disabling disease that randomly attacks the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord). The progress, severity and specific symptoms of the disease cannot be predicted; symptoms may range from tingling and numbness to paralysis and blindness. MS is a devastating disease because people live with its unpredictable physical and emotional effects for the rest of their lives.  There are approximately one third of a million Americans with MS, and every week about 200 people are diagnosed with the disease - more than one person an hour.

Your financial support is welcomed, and very much appreciated.
